After discovering this site, I keep wanting to give and give and give!
Will go towards clothing and transportation (bus tokens)
Will go towards food and living expenses
Will help with emergency shelter to get a youth off the streets for a night
Many youth end up at the JASMYN House homeless with no one to turn to and no place to go. They have been Kicked-Out of their home and rejected by their families, ONLY because of their sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression.
Who do I help?
JASMYN's Kicked-Out Fund helps Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Questioning (LGBTQ) youth who are in crisis because of family rejection with specific needs that can not be met by any other community program, but are necessary to their survival, health, and well-being.
Every amount makes a difference. Contributions anywhere from $10 to $100 can make a life-saving difference for a young person
by giving them:
* Temporary Shelter
* Emergency Needs
* Help getting into school
* Job support
* Case Management Support
Every dollar of JASMYN's Kicked-Out Fund goes directly to client needs, supporting the most serious crisis of LGBT youth in Jacksonville. Your contributions are tax-deductible and all dollars given to the Kicked-Out
Fund will be used to meet the basic needs of an LGBT youth in crisis.
