Project Description

MOCA Jacksonville hosts its Fall Family Day on November 11 and celebrates Veterans Day with a patriotic themed art activity and special Blue Star designations on artwork in the galleries by veteran artists. Fall Family Day is an event free to the public designed for families to enjoy time together creating and exploring the world of contemporary art.

There will be a wide variety of activities for families to enjoy throughout the day including origami and bookmaking workshops, sidewalk chalk and live music by the Ortega Steel Drum Band. The UNF Print Guild will be hosting a screenprinting project for guests. The Hemming Park Magician and Hemming Park Balloon Artist will provide entertainment and fun for visitors. The Jacksonville Zoo and Sweet Pete's will be onsite with activities for children to enjoy, and guests will receive a sketchbook and pencil to use throughout the day to create during inspired moments. NOLA MOCA will be providing food for visitors as well.
